About Auto Link Connect

Stay in Control of your Automotive Maintenance and Repair

Hello and welcome. My name is Tom. I have been in the automotive parts, service and autobody repair industry since 1987. My career began working at a diesel repair shop. Gaining experience with heavy equipment performing maintenance and repairs on big trucks while under the guidance of a shop full of great mentors. Next, I started working at a parts store, building relationships with local repair shops. I was able to learn customer service as I grew my skills with all things automotive. Part of my experience included automotive machine work and hydraulics for automotive and bigger machinery. In 1994 my career moved to new car dealerships. Staying with retail but growing in the industry and building great relationships that have stuck throughout my career.

My first management opportunity was in the dealership’s collision center. After a few years it was time to get back to my roots by taking the helm of our parts department. My experience managing the collision center allowed me to reimagine what is possible behind a parts counter. While managing the parts department I had a great mentor that taught me what is needed to manage a service department. Next step was a very busy service department. I got the opportunity to manage 80-100 customers and vehicles per day, 22 technicians and 7 service advisors. Throughout my career I’ve gotten training from ASE, I-Car, GM, Subaru, and Honda, just to name a few. Today I provide support for 2 service departments, 2 parts departments and a collision center. I have been very fortunate to learn and grow in the retail automotive industry.
